Welcome to the eleventh edition of the 2026 Blackboard Updates Newsletter! In this November edition, we present the changes included in version 4001.4, designed to enhance teaching and learning in the digital environment.

[1] Content Editor: Improvements to the editor
Access to the Content Collection: You can now access and select files directly from the Blackboard Content Collection within the Content Editor, without having to leave the editor to search for them.
The Content Editor Now Supports LaTeX: The Content Editor now supports \begin{...}...\end{...} LaTeX environments, building on the LaTeX and MathJax rendering capabilities introduced previously.
[2] Rubrics: Printing and Downloading
Instructors can now print both blank and graded rubrics or download them as PDF files using the browser’s print dialog.
For assignments with flexible grading, the Print icon in the pop-up rubric view becomes enabled once the instructor makes at least one selection in the rubric.
